These are the Chemicals that Start With the Letter F, G and H

This is the list of chemicals contained in cigarettes that begin with the letter F, G and H. When we smoke cigarettes our bodies become overloaded with chemicals and quite often when we quit smoking we become unwell or sometimes violently ill for a while. This is due to the body learning to function in the absence of these extra ingredients.

Many substances found in cigarettes are additives that are found in our processed foods and this is why they have been approved by our Government watchdogs - but what about the other additives? When a chemical is clearly a nasty solvent how does that get approval? How much research goes into checking out these additives before they are added to our foods or our cigarettes? Does the composition of a substance change when it is burned and if so what does it change into - something poisonous?

The reasons that cigarette companies offer for all of these additives is that they are needed as fillers, flavour enhances and to keep the cigarette burning. When people first started smoking they had tobacco rolled up and that seemed good enough for them otherwise the habit would not have caught on - so why is it now necessary to add all these other things? I think it is closer to the truth to say that by adding all of these other ingredients the cigarette companies can increase their profits - simple as that.
